Significance of geographical names in Xiaocuo village

In the seventh year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, my ancestor Xiaoyan, whose real name was Bai Gong, was an old Song (without a bachelor's degree), and his family followed him through Xiaocuo Village, Quangang, the capital of Hainan. Because of its well-known poems, essays and martial arts, it has developed rapidly and prospered. Its mountains and seas belong to Xiao, so the village name is Xiao CuO. Named after the surname, it is located in the northeast corner of Quanzhou, surrounded by the sea on three sides and backed by mountains on one side. This is a beautiful fishing village peninsula. Geographical conditions extend from the southwest to Dashengyan Peak, passing through Pave Mountain, Xiangshan Mountain and Heyan, and reaching the elephant trunk at the end of East Lake, which is an elephant cave.

Small mistakes are still early to develop. 1972 An ancient tomb of the Song Dynasty was excavated at the south foot of Xiaocuo Primary School. The inscription indicates that it was Shaoxing in the Song Dynasty in 18. There are place names "Wu CuO" and "Ke CuO" at the entrance of the village, which proves that the development of the village is very early, but the residential development is slow. In the seventh year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, Xiao Yan, the ancestor of Xiao surname, entered the village from Putian with his family. Before that, he lived in Chen and Zheng, with a small population. Since Xiao entered the village, the two surnames have moved to Hanjiang, Putian because of their ancestors' knowledge of poetic style, active economy and rapid reproduction. At this time, its mountains and seas are "Xiao", so the village name is "Xiao CuO". Alias Rancho.
