Translation of Farewell in the Mountains

Translation:

The water flows eastward to bid farewell to friends. At dusk, I am suddenly filled with sadness.

I couldn’t bear to say goodbye to this temple in the wild for so long. When I walked out of the temple, I found that the setting sun was already shining on the lonely mountain.

Looking ahead, there are no cattails or barnyard grass for thousands of miles. The setting sun shines on the boat, and the water is clear and rippling.

As I said goodbye with a drink, the moon had already risen above the woods. Undress and fall asleep, water birds chirping on the beach. I am in Luoyang tonight, and I will meet you in Jinling City in my dream.

I sigh when I think of this separation, thinking of you traveling all the way and wandering in the long rivers and seas.
