Appreciate the poetry of one's songs

This poem is profound and magnificent. On the surface, it seems that the poet is just highlighting himself. In fact, the poet is using the word "self" to express a big "I", that is, the working people of the United States who have transformed nature, opened up a new world and built a new world, praised the democratic representatives of the United States in the19th century, and publicized their free and open personality. Therefore, the "self" in the poem is endowed with duality, one is the concrete me, the other is the symbolic group "me", and "self" is a comprehensive image. Poets are among laborers, and the "self" in poems is also the image of American-style "newcomer".

In art, the poem diluted the difficulty and tedium of philosophical metaphysics with a strong lyrical atmosphere, and it is worthy of being Whitman's masterpiece. His poems do not cross lines, but use short sentences between lines to form a faint internal rhythm. With unrestrained passion, unrestrained imagination and vertical and horizontal discussion, they formed an easy-to-roll melody, just like running water, which stops when it is dry. Whitman thinks that poetry is an inner and elusive thing, and he emphasizes that readers should be brought into the atmosphere of theme or thought through implicit and circuitous hints. This poem also embodies this feature.
