Unforgettable composition of an unforgettable poetry reading contest

Looking forward to the stars and the moon, Thursday arrived, and the classic patriotic poetry reading competition organized by the Young Pioneers affiliated to HKUST was held on this day. In the afternoon, I came to the lecture hall with Xin Sicheng, Ba Xinyang and Tian Ruotong. Everything is ready, just waiting for the representative of Class 5 (1) to recite the poem My Motherland.

There are *** 16 entries in this competition, and we are the second to last. The review lessons of the previous classes are very good. The students crossed the ocean with the Eight Immortals-each showed his magical powers and vividly demonstrated his highest reading level. I watched the game in the audience, and I couldn't help but get nervous. Will I forget the lyrics? Will the microphone have no sound?

"The following is Class Five (1), and the work is my motherland." Teacher Wang Fei, counselor of Young Pioneers Brigade, said on the stage. It's our turn to play, and there is a deer jumping in my heart. Against the backdrop of magnificent background music, our four little friends stood on the stage, their eyes fixed on the front, their left hands clasped on their chests, and passionately expressed their love for the motherland: "You have a sacred name, and that is China." I saw the sound of continuous shooting, a "dadada" lens, coming from time to time, and the flashing lights under the stage. The judges nodded frequently, some took photos with their mobile phones, and some stared at us intently for fear of missing the wonderful moment.

"the motherland! Motherland! You are always full of energy! " The four friends recited in unison, praising the great motherland. Our recitation was warmly applauded by the audience, and Teacher Pu gave us a thumbs-up with a smile.

One minute on stage, ten years off stage. Before the competition, under the guidance of Mr. Pu, our four friends kept correcting pronunciation and paying attention to body language in the teacher's office after school, and practiced very hard. Many things happen. In this activity attached to HKUST, my country won the first place.
