A true disciple of Christ Jesus must live a life of complete obedience to God's will. A person who loves God must want to obey God's will completely.
When a person is willing to obey completely, not only will his life be cared for and blessed by God, but God will also help and bless many people through his life. Therefore, the life of obeying God's will is the most blessed life, so understanding and obeying God's will is the most important thing in Christian life.
When a Christian has to make important decisions in life, such as major decisions about studies, marriage, family, career, goals and directions in life, he will be more interested in knowing what God's will is in this matter.
It is often said that everything should be done according to God's will. In this case, do you still need to understand God's will to eat, dress, sleep and go shopping in the street? How on earth can we know whether what we are doing is God's will? Eating, dressing and so on are all related to our daily needs. We can know whether these things are God's will by observing whether they meet the reasonable needs of life.
For example, drinking water when thirsty and dressing when cold, this is of course in line with God's will. God has established some natural laws in the universe, which make people feel hungry when they need food, feel cold when they need clothes, and let them eat and wear warm clothes. If we live and act according to these natural laws, it is in line with God's will, because God manages all things and human beings through these laws. If we violate these natural laws, such as not eating when we are hungry and not wearing clothes when we are cold, it is not God's will.
In addition to these things that can be judged by common sense of life, there are other things that are special. These things only belong to God's will for a nation or a person, and he doesn't use them for everyone or every era.
For example, God once divided the Red Sea for the Israelites to pass through, God once gave manna to the Israelites walking in the wilderness, and the Lord Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. These miracles are the special will of God, and they will only appear under special circumstances. God doesn't want to send manna to Israel in every era, and the Lord didn't raise all the dead like Lazarus. Just because God has done something to someone, we can't force God to do the same to us. Nor can we arbitrarily think that all supernatural things that God has done are untrue just because he has not shown us these miracles.
As for study, marriage, career, future, etc. , is personal. We should pay attention to our own search, observation and prayer, but we can't understand God's will in the simple way that primary school students look at pictures. In fact, God has shown his will to people of different times in different ways.
Since all believers need to understand God's will, and everyone's truth attainments, knowledge level and natural understanding are different, of course, God can't be absolutely consistent in teaching everyone to understand God's will. Therefore, in understanding God's will, although other people's experience can be used as our personal reference, we don't need to imitate it completely. Each of us should understand God's personal will from our own experience.
Even so, we can still follow some principles when seeking God's will, which will help us to understand God's plan in our lives more easily.
