Dai Wangshu: My memory.

Author: Xu Rong Street

My memory is loyal to me,

More loyal than my best friend.

It lives on burning cigarettes,

It lives on a pen painted with lilies,

It lives in an old box,

It feeds on fallen raspberries,

It lives in a half-drunk bottle,

On the torn poems in the past, on the dried flowers,

On the dim lamp, on the calm water,

Of all things with and without souls,

It is everywhere, just like me in this world.

It's timid, it's afraid of people's noise,

But when I am lonely, it comes to visit me.

Its voice is very low,

But its words are long, long,

Long, trivial, never willing to rest,

Its words are very old-fashioned, always telling the same story.

It has a harmonious tone and always sings the same tune.

Sometimes it imitates the voice of a girl who loves focus.

Its voice is very weak,

But also with tears and breath.

Its visit is still uncertain,

At any time, at any place,

Often when I have gone to bed, I feel sleepy;

Or choose an early morning,

People will say it's impolite,

But we are old friends.

This is trivial and will never stop.

Unless I cry sadly,

Or fell asleep,

But I will never hate it,

Because it is loyal to me.

Dai wangshu

My Memory is a new milestone in Dai Wangshu's poetry creation, which shows distinctive features different from Rain Lane in artistic expression.

First of all, the poet's life feeling is no longer extroverted and natural, but by capturing inspiration and twists and turns, he expresses his subtle inner world with colorful objective images. Human memory is intangible, hard to grasp and elusive. It is a psychological process that people are obsessed with what they have experienced for a long time and can reproduce in the future, or can recognize it when they reproduce. It is not easy to show this psychological phenomenon vividly and concretely. The poet is good at depicting strong feelings. He used the image superposition technique in symbolic art to show the intangible things clearly and strongly. My memory is loyal to me/more loyal than my best friend. After this mediocre beginning, the author used ten sentence patterns of "It survived" and "Shang" one after another, and regarded "burning cigarette", "pen painted with lilies", "shabby powder box", "depressed raspberry", "half-drunk wine bottle" and "old poem manuscript" as the representative poet of symbolism, which reflected Dai Wangshu's highly sensitive sensibility.

Secondly, My Memory adopts modern daily spoken language, which is poetic, fresh and natural. Poets vividly express their memories by personification, saying that they are "timid", "low voice" and "trivial", and sometimes imitate "girl's voice" and "take a deep breath with tears". Vivid images and euphemistic feelings are all vividly written in modern spoken language. "This is very different from the poems he wrote in the past and the language full of old words. Even though these poems are full of sadness, this kind of sadness belongs to modern people. These are the daily spoken languages of modern people, and these spoken languages as the language of poetry were a bold attempt at that time. " (Wang Shu's Poems of Ai Qing)

Thirdly, my memory does not pursue rhyme or clear pronunciation, but pays attention to the free expression of emotions. The poet himself said: "The rhythm of poetry lies not in the cadence of words, but in the cadence of poetry's emotions, that is, the degree of poetry." "Rhyming and neat words will hinder poetry, or make poetry deformed. If we adapt the artistic conception of poetry to the dull and superficial old rules, it is the same as putting our own feet in other people's shoes. Stupid people cut their feet and fit their shoes, and smart people choose shoes that are more suitable for them. " (On Poetry and Zero Essays) His early poems were written to appreciate the rhythm and rhythm of China's poems, and at the same time, he practiced the thought that French impressionist poet Wei Erlun emphasized the musicality of poetry. In the works after My Memory, he argued that "poetry should not rely on music, it should lose the elements of music." Of course, this is not to obliterate the syllables and melodies of poetry, but to get rid of the shackles of the external forms of poetry, express one's innocent feelings completely freely, and create the rhythm of poetry by virtue of the natural flow of inner feelings. "My Memory" begins with a gentle tone, then writes down that the memory is coming in a hasty sentence arrangement, and then slows down to write down the old friend whose memory is faithful to himself, echoing the beginning. The whole poem has no rhyme on the surface, and its length is scattered, rambling and informal, but its inner feelings are relaxed. The echo of ups and downs shows that Dai Wangshu's personal style tends to mature.
