When we were children,

when we went to school together.

I don’t know you,

You don’t know me.

From smile to conversation,

From stranger to familiarity.

I still remember,

that year we chased each other in the corridor,

stole snacks in the dormitory,

we were in class Group text messages from time to time,

Doodle drawings on the blackboard.

The old classmate was angry,

the house warden got angry,

the mobile phone was confiscated,

the chalk was smashed.

We still play together and skip class together.

There is no intrigue among classmates and no comparison of grades.

That is our youth that will eventually pass away.
