A poet who likes bamboo

The poet who likes bamboo is Wen Tong.

Wen Tong, Zi Yuke, was born in Yongtai County (now Yanting County), Zizhou County, Northern Song Dynasty, and was a painter and poet.

Wen Tong and Su Shi are cousins and close friends. He often admits that there is no confidant in the world, only Zi Zhan (Dongpo's Ci) knows my beauty. Dongpo also publicly said: peace can be close, not a day, it is thought-provoking.

It is worth mentioning that the two also like bamboo and are good at drawing bamboo. There are many good stories, the most famous of which is the idiom "Have a plan".

When Wen Tong was a magistrate in Yangzhou, Shaanxi Province (now Yangxian County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province), he often went to Yaoyou Valley in the north of the city, because there were so many bamboos here. "He claimed to be a thief and defended himself too much. People called Mr. Green a thief."

Because Wen Tong knows the subtle changes of bamboo in different seasons and forms, he always paints bamboo with a brush. Mi Fei praised him for "starting from scratch with ink depth as the face and light as the back".

Su Shi also likes bamboo. He once said, "Eating without meat is better than living without bamboo". Su Shi also painted bamboo very well.

According to the Records of Yanting County, Wen Tong and Su Shi talked about the experience of painting bamboo. "People who draw bamboo must first have a good idea in their hearts and be familiar with what they want to draw. They should hurry to follow it in order to catch up with what they see. The rabbit fell and died. "

This feeling of painting with bamboo was widely circulated by Su Shi's article "Painting with bamboo", which later became the idiom "Have a plan in mind" and "Have a plan in mind".

The friendship between the two is more than just painting bamboo. Another allusion, "Laughing and Spitting Rice", also comes from their interaction. When Wen Tong was in Renyangzhou, one day he and his wife went to Youyou Valley to see bamboo, and only bamboo shoots were served for dinner. While eating, I received a letter from Su Shi, which wrote: "Bamboo planting in Hanchuan is as cheap as a canopy, and the axe does not forgive dragons. The material is poor and too defensive, and Weibin has a thousand acres in his chest. " After reading the poem, Wen Tong couldn't help laughing and spraying the rice all over the table.
