Poems about the Battle of Nanjing

Nanjing, the majestic capital city,

The "four hundred trillion" people are of one mind,

Ah alas! Defend "Nanjing"!

Nanjing, the beautiful Shengjing,

Far away is the Song, Qi, Liang and Chen Dynasties,

Close is the birth of the Republic of China;

Every plant, every tree, every sand and stone,

are stained with the blood of my ancestors;

We must guard Nanjing,

never let down the creation How hard it is!

The mighty Yangtze River,

the gloomy Purple Mountain,

the sound of oars in Xuanwu Lake,

the Qinhuai River The sound of singing,

There are also the bustling comings and goings of "two to three million people",

Look at the atmosphere that will dye the island;

No matter how hard you are, you can Get up to Qiancheng quickly!

Listen! There are rumbling sounds,

Look! The swarms of Yamato soldiers are surging forward and will destroy our "capital city"!

The white poplars on the Purple Mountain are swaying,

There is a faint groan from the ground:

"Four hundred trillion" descendants,

rise! rise! rise! Defend "Nanjing" to the death!

Nanjing, the majestic capital city,

The "four hundred trillion" people are of one mind,

Eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Defend "Nanjing"!
