In the early stage, Wang Wei had a period of being an official. At this time, his poetic style was more "fireworks", but his artistic feature of "painting in poetry and poetry in painting" ran through his life's poems. In his early years, Wang Wei wrote a five-character poem "Hunting and Watching", which is fluent and sharp in language and has artistic characteristics, and is praised as a masterpiece through the ages.
The whole poem of Hunting is as follows:
In the wind, the horn sounded and the general was hunting outside the borehole. The grass is yellow in autumn, and the eagle eye is sharper; The snow and ice melt, and the horseshoe is extraordinarily light. It has passed Xinfeng City in a blink of an eye and soon returned to sunny Liu Ying. Looking back at the eagle wilderness, thousands of twilight clouds spread to the horizon.
Commentary: The wind is blowing, the bowstring is trembling, and the general is hunting in the suburbs of Weicheng. The grass has withered in autumn, which makes the eagle's vision sharper and makes it easier for the horse to gallop when the snow melts. Passing Xinfeng in a blink of an eye, I returned to Xiliuying. Looking back at the place where the sculpture was shot just now, the clouds are thousands of miles away and connected with the earth.
This hunting poem by Wang Wei runs through the whole poem with the word "hunting" and is divided into two parts: hunting and hunting. It vividly depicts a picture of hunting in winter, highlighting the characteristics of "painting in poetry and poetry in painting" in Wang Wei's poems.
The first couplet is "Jin Feng Jiao Gongming, a general hunting Weicheng", which first points out the environmental characteristics of "Jin Feng". In this atmosphere, you can hear the sound of bowstring after the bow and arrow leave the string. Then pointed out that the reason was that the general was hunting in Weicheng. The first couplet depicts the weather in Xiaosha at the beginning, and then points out the theme of hunting, which is extraordinary in writing.
Zhuan Xu's phrase "Grass withers like an eagle's eye, snow is as light as a horseshoe" has always been highly praised by later generations, which best embodies the characteristics of Wang Wei's poetry "painting in poetry, painting in poetry". After the grass turns yellow in winter, the eagle eye searches the grass very keenly; After the snow melted, the horse ran briskly without slipping. These two natural phenomena are vividly described by Wang Wei, just like a beautiful painting.
Necklace is "crossing Xinfeng City suddenly and returning to Liu Ying". The "westward camp" in the sentence originally refers to the place where Zhou Yafu, a famous soldier in the Han Dynasty, stationed troops, and later refers to the military camp. "Xinfengcheng" and "Xiliuying" are both in Weicheng, separated by seven or eight miles. Words such as "suddenly passing" and "returning" highlight the swiftness of the general's hunting and have a strong sense of flying painting. The image of a brave general left a deep impression on the paper.
The scenery is written at the end of the poem, running through the whole poem. "The Shooting of Sculptures" leads to the famous story of the shooting of sculptures by Hu Luguang in Northern Qi Dynasty, which is quite interesting and of historical significance. And the use of "a thousand miles of clouds" is particularly accurate.
The poem is exquisite in language, profound in meaning, neat in composition and intriguing. It is really a masterpiece in Tang poetry.
