Translation of works

Qingshan stands on the north side of the city wall, and the clear river surrounds the east side of the city wall.

We are about to leave here, and you, like a lonely grass, are about to embark on the journey of Wan Li.

White clouds are floating in the sky, just like your mood. The sun that is about to set cannot bear to sink, just like my attachment to you.

We waved goodbye and parted ways. The stray horse that our friend rode seems unwilling to leave. [3]

This is a poetic farewell poem. The poet and his friends rode away, affectionate and touching. Li Bai's farewell poem, besides the quatrain "To Wang Lun", is the most famous one. This poem has been widely known and has been selected as a teaching material. This is a masterpiece.

In the first couplet, "the mountains in the north are blue and the water in the east is white" explains the farewell place. The poet has sent his friends out of the city, but they are still together and unwilling to part. I see in the distance, green mountains span the northern part of the outer city, and sparkling water flows around the eastern part of the city. In these two sentences, "Qingshan" versus "Baishui" and "Northland" versus "Dongcheng", the first couplet is a beautiful antithetical sentence with a unique style; And "green" and "white" alternate with each other, and the colors are bright and beautiful. The word "horizontal" outlines the static posture of Qingshan, and the word "around" depicts the dynamics of Baishui, with accurate and vivid words. Poems and pens are freely written, depicting a vast and beautiful picture. I didn't see the word "don't", but I savored it carefully, and the pen was clearly full of other feelings.

The middle two are related, writing the deep feelings of parting. Zhuan Xu said, "You must leave me here and float away like a loose grass", which means that when you leave here, you will fly like a loose grass and go thousands of miles away with the wind. These two sentences express deep concern for the wandering life of friends. Put pen to paper like running water, comfortable and natural, not constrained by antithesis, unique. The necklace couplet "I will think of you in the clouds, so I will think of me in the sunset", but it is neatly written, "floating clouds" to "sunset" and "wandering" to "old human feelings". At the same time, the poet skillfully compares "floating clouds" with "sunset" to show his mind. A touch of white clouds in the sky, floating in the wind, symbolizes the uncertainty and arbitrariness of friends; A red sun slowly sets in the distance, which seems to be unbearable to leave the earth suddenly, which symbolizes the poet's mood of saying goodbye to his friends. Seeing "Farewell" under the background of beautiful scenery and the sun shining in the west makes the poet feel nostalgic and inseparable. There are both scenery and feelings here, and the scenes are mixed and colorful.

The end of the sentence is more affectionate. "We waved goodbye and my horse kept neighing." A thousand miles to send you, not never say goodbye. "Waving" refers to the act of parting. The poet's inner feelings are not straightforward, only the touching scene of "and my horse screams". This sentence comes from "The Book of Songs Xiao Ya Chegong": "A?vagho?a." Bama, a lost horse. The poet and his friends waved goodbye at once and greeted them frequently. Two horses seem to know their master's mood and are unwilling to leave their companions. When they left, they couldn't help whistling, as if they had infinite affection. Li Bai used classical poetry and the word "half" to bring forth the new and set off romantic friendship, which was a wonderful handwriting.

This farewell poem is novel and unconventional. The green mountains, clear water, flaming sunset and white clouds in the poem are in harmony and bright colors. The horse is ringing, and the image is fresh and lively. Natural beauty and humanistic beauty are intertwined and vividly written. The rhythm of the poem is lively, the feelings are sincere, warm and optimistic, and there is no lingering sadness. This is the characteristic of Li Bai's farewell poems, which the critics deeply appreciate. [4]

Brief introduction of the author

Lipper

Li Bai (70 1 ~ 762) was a poet in the Tang Dynasty. He claimed that his ancestral home was Ji Cheng in Longxi (now southwest of Jingning, Gansu), and his ancestral home was Suiyeju in the Western Regions at the end of Sui Dynasty (it was the capital of Anxi in the Tang Dynasty, near tokmak in northern Kyrgyzstan). When I was young, I moved to Qinglian Township, Changlong, Mianzhou (now Jiangyou, Sichuan) with my father. Teenagers show their talents, write poems, read widely and are good at chivalry. From the age of 25, I have been wandering for a long time and experienced a lot of social life. In 742 AD (the first year of Tianbao), he was called to visit the Hanlin in Chang 'an. The style of the article was famous for a while, which was appreciated by Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, but it was not taken seriously politically and was destroyed by powerful people. Only one year later, he left Chang 'an. In 744 AD (Tianbao three years), he made friends with Du Fu in Luoyang. After the An Shi Rebellion broke out, he joined the Wang Yong shogunate Lilin in 756 AD, hoping to quell the rebellion. Because Wang Yong and Su Zongheng failed to compete for the throne, Yelang was exiled (now Guizhou), but was pardoned on the way and returned to the East. In his later years, he drifted to the southeast and died in Dangtu (now Anhui). His poems are mainly lyrical, showing the arrogant spirit of contempt for powerful people, expressing sympathy for people's sufferings, being good at depicting natural scenery and expressing his love for the mountains and rivers of the motherland. The poetic style is bold and unconstrained, the imagination is rich, the language flows naturally and the melody is harmonious and changeable. He is good at absorbing nutrients and materials from folk literature, myths and legends, which constitutes his unique magnificent and gorgeous colors. Li Bai is the most unique and greatest romantic poet since Qu Yuan, and reached the peak of poetic art in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Known as the "Poet Fairy", it is also called "Da Du Li" with Du Fu. There are more than 1000 poems, including 30 volumes of the complete works of Li Taibai. [5]
