Content abstract: this complete set of Dickinson's works is the crystallization of the translator Mr. Prone's 20 years' hard work. Prior to this, Professor Pu worked as a Fulbright scholar at Harvard University and Dickinson's hometown for one year. After returning to China, he continued to study several versions of Dickinson's poems and foreign academic materials, and many poems were translated repeatedly. This complete collection completely compiles two versions of Dickinson's poems edited by Johnson and Franklin, and notes the differences between the two versions. In addition, Mr. Pu also made a detailed textual research on the writing background of each poem and attached it to the corresponding poem. The fourth volume is the translation of Selected Emily Dickinson's Letters edited by Johnson, which contains the most valuable letters of the poetess in her whole creative career. In addition, Mr. Pu added background research to each translation. No matter for lovers of poetry and literature or scholars interested in studying Dickinson, this set of Dickinson's complete works is a rare treasure.
