Liu Zhanqiu (1935-February 20, 2023), formerly known as Liu Ziqiang, was born in Wuhu, Anhui Province, a poet, translator and critic. As early as the mid-1980s, he was known as "the king of lyric poetry".

In the early morning of February 20th, 2023, Liu Zhanqiu died of illness.
