Annotations to The Analects of Confucius is a part of Four Books and Five Sentences Annotations of Neo-Confucianism, and it is Zhu's annotation to The Analects of Confucius in Southern Song Dynasty. After more than 40 years of careful attention, Zhu finally wrote a classic.
Confucius and Mencius were great thinkers in ancient China, and their Confucianism played a great role in the formation and development of traditional culture in China. The Analects of Confucius and Mencius are two works handed down from generation to generation, a collection of Confucius and Mencius' speeches, and the basic works reflecting Confucius and Mencius' thoughts.
Zhu, a master of Confucianism in the Song Dynasty, separated Daxue and The Doctrine of the Mean from The Book of Rites, and called them four books together with The Analects of Confucius and Mencius. The Collection of Notes on Four Books and Sentences, written by him, is highly respected. It has been regarded as a compulsory textbook for imperial examinations for hundreds of years and has become a Confucian classic with far-reaching influence on later generations.
In order to learn and study the excellent traditional culture of the motherland, our agency organized a special person to sort out, print and publish the Notes on Four Books and Sentences overprinted by Zhu Mo in Ming Dynasty in Haihu Pavilion, Yuan Shandong, and participated in the engraving of Wulin Yandetang from the 22nd year of Yuan Dynasty to the 13th edition of Ruan Yuan in Qing Dynasty, and the engraving of Shandong Bookstore in the 11th year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty. The simplified Chinese characters in the book are arranged horizontally. The scripture part is arranged in chapters according to the order of the original book.
The annotations of the four books include the University, the Doctrine of the Mean, the Analects of Confucius and Mencius. It is Zhu's most diligent work; One day before his death, he was still revising the university chapter. In a word, this book is a rare good book.
