The poet Liu Shahe once wrote The Explanation of Erlang's Legs, which explained the origin of Erlang's Legs with great interest. He pointed out: "Erlang Leg" is said not only in Sichuan Province, but also in other provinces. This is the sitting posture of Erlang God. The statue of Jiro in the main hall of Wangchuan Temple in my hometown and the old statue of Jiro in Erwang Temple in Dujiangyan, Sichuan are all like this. Erlang God is said to be the second son of Li Bing, the king of Qin, who helped his father to chisel away from piles, cut jiaozi, kill pests and seal Erlang God after his death. There are Yang Jian and Erlang God in The Romance of Gods. He is a legend, a novel, and even more absurd ... Erlang God's sitting posture is absolutely out of Confucian rules. The so-called cross-legged, in professional terms, should be yubu. According to legend, Yu managed water, tried his best to open ditches, stayed at home for ten years, and became a cripple with one leg stiff. When I was a child, I saw the wizard's practice, jumping with one foot and lifting with one foot, which is called Yu Bu, and it is imitating Yu. The statue of Erlang God in Dujiangyan is shaped as a sitting posture with his right leg resting on his left leg, which is also imitated in. In the 1980s, Erlang's legs disappeared and the mystery disappeared. Old plastic has the tail of ancient mythology, which shows where we come from and is also a respect for ancient culture. "It is really not worthwhile to be transformed into a migrant worker to repair water, so that the word Erlang legs is lost and it is difficult for future generations to find it."
The poet's textual research is quite interesting, but it is difficult to determine whether the jade department came from it. In the book Metaphysical Beast, I have investigated the legendary ostrich gait, which is a typical "yubu". Another view can be found in ancient books such as Bao Puzi's Inner Chapter, Fairy Medicine and Eight Emperors in Cave. When Dayu was controlling water, he saw a big bird (that is, a thrush bird) on the coast of the South China Sea. It walked in a strange way and could make a big stone turn, so Dayu simulated its pace and made it into a spell, which worked well because. From these statements, it can be seen that the jade part was formed very early, which was related to the ancient forbidden spells. The basic step of Yubu is three steps and nine tracks, and later it is extended to different Yubu steps such as twelve tracks and three or five tracks. Later, it became a famous Taoist step.
The ostrich showed its landing with mysterious dance steps. This depression is step by step, elastic, full of melancholy and induction, as if following the instructions in my mind. People are extremely taboo to see this rare bird step. Volume 16 of Er Ya Yi records: "... once someone went into the mountain, saw his footwork and asked his wife for it, but the woman was weaving and turning over." This shows that this bird is very vicious. Later, wizards also used this "Ubuntu" to keep pace with the underworld.
In fact, Zhou Zuoren's prose "Yuji Temple" has done a very detailed textual research. He pointed out:
"In those days, Yu Guihong personally fucked Qin Gui to cleanse the world. No postscript, no noise, heavy rain, strong wind, all countries have established. Yu is also a great sage, and the shape of the world is like this. " So that later generations of ink artists often wear brown clothes and clothes, day and night without clothes, extremely self-centered. Say, you can't do this. It is not imperial, and it is not enough for ink. "If you hide Confucianism and lose it, you will enter Yang, that is, if you are a Taoist, you will become a Legalist. You are really a Mohist, but you are missing some religious colors, so you can't see any Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. " The Dead Body says: "The ancients did not open the Longmen and Lvliang did not dig it, so they dredged the river and decided to cross the river. I haven't looked after my family for ten years, but I'm sick and can't keep up. People call it Yu Bu. Jiao Litang wrote in Volume 11: "Yu's illness is too dry to pass, but the effect of warlocks is." . Kong has a sister's funeral, which is still right, and so is the second and third children. Guo occasionally bends corners, and people's role is to cushion corners. That's the poor narrator. "Speaking of which, Dayu had a relationship with the alchemist. It turns out that the alchemist is not from Taoism, he just wants to live forever for himself, which has something to do with Andy. However, it seems a bit ridiculous to break away from teaching and learning footwork here, but it's not entirely true. What Gaiyu did was obviously religious, and it was incredible that the alchemist loved magical powers and forced his face to recover his righteousness. Take Tu Weizhen's Humboldt as an example. There are Yu's footwork in Article 33 "Hook Xuan", which is quite self-originated. There is no other book in Han Zhai, but I accidentally checked Ge Zhichuan's Bao Puzi, which was obtained from Article 16 "Dengshe". Its moire:
"In footwork, upright, right foot in front, left foot in the back, right foot in front, left foot off the right foot, is also a step. The combination of right foot and left foot is a two-step process. Restoring the front right foot and merging the left foot from the right foot is a three-step process. "In this way, Yu Bu road is over. "Here said into the forest, fold the grass to curse, make people invisible, said the footwork has passed, and stated:
"Anyone who knows all the tricks in the world should know the rest of the steps, and this is not the only one." Accurately speaking, we can see the great power of the jade department. When I was a child, I saw a scholar in my hometown practicing good dharma. He wore a golden crown, a flute in his hand and thick-soled soap boots and wandered around the altar. If he can't, his heart will be very different. When he read a novel, he remembered the Yu step practiced by the Taoist priest, only then did he know that it was Yu step, and only then did he know his footwork, which really pleased people. I'm sure to try myself, but it's not enough to be happy, because I don't want to become an immortal, even if I learn it skillfully.
Nowadays, we can only occasionally see Yu Bu's lithe posture on the stage.
Legging is definitely not a Confucian etiquette, but it seems to have something to do with Indian Buddhism. The images of bodhisattvas we have seen are very rich. Guanyin and the general trend are "Ten Bodhisattvas". Except Buddha, only they are qualified to sit on the lotus platform. Often one leg is bent and the other leg is drooping. This beautiful sitting posture is called "game seat". The natural leaning posture still shows a soft posture. Although this "game seat" does not put its legs on the other side, Jiro's legs are probably inspired by this Buddha statue.
