What precautions should be taken during the installation of optical cables?

1. When loading and unloading optical cables, lifting equipment such as forklifts or special steps should be used. It is strictly forbidden to roll or throw the optical cable reel directly from the vehicle.

2. It is strictly forbidden to lay or stack optical cable drums containing optical cables flat. Optical cable drums in the carriage must be fortified with wooden blocks.

3. Optical cables should not be reversed multiple times to prevent the integrity of the internal structure of the optical cable. Before laying the optical cable, a single cable inspection and acceptance such as appearance inspection, specifications, quantity, test length and attenuation should be carried out. There is a product factory inspection certificate attached to the protective plate of the optical cable (should be kept properly for future inquiries). Be careful not to damage the optical cable when removing the optical cable protective plate.

4. During the construction process, it should be noted that the bending radius of the optical cable must not be less than the construction regulations, and excessive bending of the optical cable is not allowed.

5. When laying out aerial optical cables, they should be pulled by pulleys. Aerial optical cables should avoid friction with buildings, trees and other facilities, and should avoid mopping the floor or rubbing with other sharp and hard objects to damage the outer sheath of the optical cable. They should be installed when necessary. protective measures. It is strictly prohibited to forcibly pull the optical cable after jumping out of the pulley to prevent the optical cable from being crushed and damaged.

6. When designing optical cable lines, try to avoid easy-to-fire buildings. If this cannot be avoided, fire protection measures should be taken for optical cables.

7. During the laying construction of optical cables with relatively long sections, if the cable needs to be reversed, the optical cable must be laid out in the "8" pattern. Keep its optical cable in a completely twisted state.

8. The selection of optical cable connector box must meet the requirements of YD/T814-1996 standard, ensuring that the curvature radius of the optical fiber in the connector box is not less than 37.5MM, and the remaining length of the optical fiber in the connector box Not less than 1.6M. The reinforcement of the optical cable is firmly fixed on the connector box. There will be no twisting between the optical cable and the connector box. The connector box has excellent sealing performance and can prevent the entry of water vapor.

9 . When splicing the optical cable, the joint attenuation should be based on the average value of the OTDR two-way test

10 After the optical cable laying is completed, if the splicing cannot be done in time, both ends of the optical cable should be sealed to prevent moisture from invading the optical fiber.< /p>

11 When splicing the optical cable, if it cannot be spliced ??many times, it is recommended to cut off a section before splicing (because the cable end may be mechanically damaged during construction).

12 Optical cable splicing After completion, it is advisable to reserve an appropriate amount of optical cable at both ends of the optical cable connector box and firmly coil it on the remaining cable rack.

13 The optical cable drum containing the optical cable should be installed in the direction marked on the side panel of the optical cable. Rolling, rolling, the distance should not be too long, generally not more than 20 meters. When rolling, care should be taken to prevent obstacles from damaging the packaging board.
