He started from Dunhuang, Gansu in the northwest of the motherland, went to Liu Hou Temple and Dujiangyan in the southwest of Sichuan, then to Wuyue Spring and Autumn Period in the southeast, and finally wrote about Nanyang Mausoleum outside China.

Passion for history will always increase the load of life, and the vicissitudes of history can lead to the vicissitudes of life. When trudging between mountains and rivers, there will be more and more life experiences and memories. In fact, China culture is not as stubborn and decadent as it was rumored at that time. It is really difficult, but it comes from the profound conflict between historical will and cultural ethics.
Historical implication requires strength, enterprising and transcendence, and cultural ethics requires dignity, order and harmony. Both have good reasons, but they are in opposite directions and contain each other, and no one can realize themselves. As a result, they became enemies of life and death who fought side by side for thousands of years, and the pain of "bitter journey" came from this.

It is this desire for creation that has formed a unique low and sentimental historical atmosphere in the cultural journey, but in the rare historical description and copying of landscape culture, there is a faint sentimental atmosphere, which comes from the cleaning and summary of thousands of years of history and culture, so it has a tragic taste.

As far as writing is concerned, the prose in Cultural Journey is a beautiful article and an elaborate cultural structure. The language is graceful and elegant, but it doesn't show the taste of carving. In the faint narrative, there is a strong lyrical meaning.
In Five Cities, he described Guangzhou like this:
"Guangzhou has always been far away from the capital and facing the sea. This position naturally contradicts the feudal tradition of China for thousands of years. Maxima is exhausted when he runs here, and ships sailing in Nanyang are always ready to pull out the anchor. "
For Guangzhou, which is far away in the south of Xinjiang, it is both accurate and imaginative to describe it with such a passage.
If you don't have a broad mind, if you haven't traveled to the mountains, rivers and famous towns of the motherland, how can you write such a strange sentence?
In West Lake Dream, the author touches Su Xiaoxiao's inner world like this:

Su Dongpo beautified poems and long beaches, Lin Hejing pinned beauty on plum blossoms and white cranes, while Su Xiaoxiao always attached beauty to his life. You don't need to look for it. This kind of elaborate writing can be seen almost everywhere in the cultural journey, with a specific historical atmosphere as the foil and a theatrical effect similar to the plot of the novel as the backbone. Therefore, elegant and lyrical text description will not make readers feel too polished, but will add some poetry to the article and enhance artistic charm.
