Ya (Pinyin: yà) is a first-class standard Chinese character (commonly used word). This word first appeared in Shang Dynasty Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Shang Dynasty inscriptions, and its ancient glyph is generally considered as the plan of ancient buildings where people live together. In Shang Dynasty, the word "Ya" was often used as a surname or to indicate rank. In modern times, "elegance" means inferiority and poverty, and it is also used in transliteration.
Many scholars have made textual research on the original meaning of the word "Ya", but there are different opinions, and the academic community has never reached a recognized conclusion. Many scholars believe that the shape of "Asia" simulates the shape of ancestral temple buildings.
