Zhang Zhongjing, a famous machine, was born in Nanyang (now Nanyang, Henan) in the Eastern Han Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Ling of the Han Dynasty (A.D. 168- 189), it is said that Xiaolian was promoted as the magistrate of Changsha. It is controversial whether Zhang Zhongjing ever did Changsha satrap.
Some scholars affirm, some deny, and there is no conclusive evidence to check. However, there are indeed many written records that Zhang Zhongjing is "Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, giving filial piety, and the official is the magistrate of Changsha".
