During the period of Emperor Jing of Han Dynasty, Liu An, the king of Huainan, presided over the compilation of Huainan Zi, also known as Huainan Lie Hong. The guests who participated in the compilation included Su Fei, Wu Bei, Li Shang and others. According to the Records of Hanshu Yiwenzhi, the book is voluminous, but only 2 1 article has been handed down. As far as a comprehensive hundred schools are concerned, Huainanzi is close to Shilu Chunqiu. The difference is that it absorbs more ideological materials from the silk books of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi, especially Huang Lao, and becomes a theoretical work that integrates the knowledge of Huang Lao. On the basis of inheriting the "Qi" theory in the Spring and Autumn Period and the "Jing" theory of Song Yan and Yin Wen School in the mid-Warring States Period, it put forward new views on Tao, heaven and man, form and spirit, and advocated the "Qi Theory" and systematic cosmology. There are many chapters about self-cultivation, which have a far-reaching impact on future generations.
The fable "A Mountain with a Yugong" is almost a household name in China, but few people know that this fable comes from Liezi, an important work of pre-Qin Taoism. Its author Liezi Ming Kou, also known as Yu Kou, was a native of Zheng in the early Warring States period and one of the representatives of Taoism, who advocated quietness. This book preserves many fables and myths and legends of the pre-Qin era, with a wide range of topics, some of which are quite instructive. Liezi is a link between Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi, which has an important influence on the development of China's history of thought, philosophy, literature and science and technology.
