(1) (two spaces) Author's name (first name, last name, followed by an English period), book title (in italics, followed by an English period), place of publication (followed by a colon), publishing house or publisher (followed by a comma), date of publication (followed by a comma) and page number (followed by an English period).
(2) (two spaces) Author's name (first name, last name, followed by English period), article title (article title by "") (one space) followed by magazine name (italics, followed by comma), volume number (issue number), publication year, page number and English period.
To insert a footnote in a document:
(1) Move the insertion to the position where you want to insert the footnote.
(2) Click the Footnotes and Endnotes menu item in the Insert menu. (If it is Microsoft word 2007 or above, click the footnote menu item in the reference menu. )
(3) Select the footnote option to insert a footnote.
(4) If the automatic numbering option is selected, Word will number all footnotes continuously and renumber them when adding, deleting or moving footnote reference marks.
