1, four characteristics: cold, cool, warm and hot.
Four natures, also known as four qi, mean that Chinese medicine can be divided into four attributes: cold, cool, warm and hot.
The four characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine are usually strong, weak, slow and urgent. For example, both of them are cold, and there are slight cold, cold and heavy cold.
Among the four natures of TCM, coldness and warmth are two opposite attributes. In other words, coldness and coolness are one property, and so are heat and temperature. Cooling is second only to cold, and temperature is second only to heat.
In addition, some traditional Chinese medicines are flat in nature, that is, their properties are flat, which means that the cold and heat properties are not significant.
Cold-cooling drugs: usually have the functions of clearing away heat and purging fire, detoxifying, cooling blood and nourishing yin. Drugs that can treat heat syndrome are called cold-cooling drugs.
Warming drugs: drugs that usually have the functions of clearing away heat, warming the interior and supporting yang, and can treat cold syndrome are called warming drugs.
Antipsychotic drugs: drugs that can be taken regardless of cold syndrome or heat syndrome.
I will share the medicinal properties of five kinds of Chinese medicines with you tomorrow.
