The Influence of West Hote Mountains on Northeast China

Among them, the biggest impact on the northeast climate is to make the northeast colder. This mountainous area is actually a coastal mountain range extending from Russian to Dalian, which isolates the land and sea traffic in northeast China. In a normal water-gas exchange area, such as any area along the southeast coast of China, warm and humid water vapor can easily enter the inland from the ocean and become an expert in moistening the land and regulating the temperature, but in the northeast, this water vapor cycle is difficult to complete.

Seen from the land, the tall West Hott Mountain and Changbai Mountain are the ends of the cold air from the Arctic that blows southward on the East Asian continent after landing in the Russian Far East. The dry and cold air went straight to the northeast, without encountering water bodies or obstacles from mountains. The direct consequence of these two geographical conditions is that the northeast is extremely cold compared with the regions of the same latitude in the world.
