Which version of Sun Tzu's Art of War should beginners read?

Sun Tzu's Art of War is a brilliant treasure in China's classical military cultural heritage, an important part of China's excellent cultural tradition, and one of the three largest art books in the world. It was written by Sun Wu, a native of Qi at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period.

The famous versions in history are as follows:

1. Simplified version, 1972, bamboo slips unearthed from the Han Tomb in Yinqueshan, Linyi, is the earliest version so far.

2. Eleven Notes, 196 1 The Shanghai Editorial Office of Zhonghua Book Company photocopied the Eleven Notes of Sun Tzu in the Song Dynasty.

3. The book of Wu Jing, such as 1935, The Seven Books of Wu Jing engraved by China Academy of Art in Song Dynasty; Photocopy of Liu Yin's Direct Interpretation of the Five Classics and Seven Books in Shi Ding's 8,000-volume Building.

4. The book "Peaceful Magnolia".

5. Du's classics. Depending on the original work, many annotations will distort the author's true meaning. I read all three versions, and finally I honestly read the original. Some places are different from other versions. If you have read other books on art or strategy, you can try to read the annotated edition. If you are a beginner, I suggest reading the original text directly, and you can look up uncommon words a little (just buy a book with basic notes)!
