What will South China Classics do?

The South China Classic, whose real name is Zhuangzi, is a Taoist classic. Written by Zhuangzi and his disciples in the early Warring States Period. After the appearance of Taoism in the Han Dynasty, it was honored as a classic of the South China, and Zhuangzi was named a true man of the South China. The outer three chapters of Heaven and Earth's Providence were even translated into Taiping Shu Yao by Zhang Jiao, the leader of the Yellow Scarf Army at the end of Han Dynasty.

Zhuangzi was written by Zhuang Zhou and his disciples. There are 52 Han Art and the History of Literature, and there are 33 existing ones, which are divided into three parts. Seven inside, fifteen outside and eleven outside. The inner chapter was written by Zhuangzi, and most of the outer chapters were written by Zhuangzi, but occasionally disciples usurped it; Miscellaneous articles are mostly derived from later disciples.

Looking closely at Zhuangzi, we can see that Lao Dan is mentioned many times in the book, and it does talk about doing nothing, but it is more Confucius and Yan Yuan, which is not a satire on Confucianism and an affirmation of Taoism as the predecessors said. Instead, Confucianism was brought into full play and combined with Taoism, thus achieving the real Zhuangzi. Zhuangzi's theory is based on people's point of view, so everyone will feel cordial and benefit a lot after reading it, so he can become an idol of intellectuals. Many of his views and opinions, especially his wise attitude towards foreign objects, completely transcend the limitations of time and space and can still be used for reference by us today.

There is a long list of people influenced by Zhuangzi in terms of ideology, style of writing, article system and writing skills. Among the first-class writers, there are Ruan Ji, Tao Yuanming, Li Bai, Su Shi, Xin Qiji and Cao Xueqin, which shows the great influence.

Later, Taoism inherited Taoism, and after the evolution of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, Laozi and Zhuangzi became the core content of Taoism. Zhuangzi was deified and regarded as a god. In February (724) of the first year of Tianbao, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, he was named "South China Real Person". His book "Zhuangzi" is called the South China Classic. Song Huizong was named "the subtle Tong Yuan Zhen Jun".
