Ancient anecdote: Song Gaozong jade was recovered after ten years.

An ancient anecdote was recorded in Wang Shizhen's Notes on Ancestors in the Qing Dynasty: During the Shaoxing period in the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhao Gou, Song Gaozong hosted a banquet in honor of the ministers, and they were surprised to see the Jade Baby Fan Zhui Er tied to Zhang Jun's folding fan. In the Song Dynasty, Song Gaozong recognized Zhui Er's jade fan as his personal relic at a glance, but ten years ago, on the way to Siming (now southwest of Ningbo, Zhejiang), he accidentally dropped the jade pendant into the water. Yu Pei, the lotus boy in Song Dynasty, was Song Gaozong's favorite thing. At that time, I ordered someone to look for it, but I couldn't find it, so I had to give up. Now suddenly seeing this ancient beloved thing in the world, Song Gaozong Zhao Gou was pleasantly surprised and quickly asked Zhang Jun about the origin of the jade fan pendant. Zhang Jun replied, "I bought it at the store in Qinghe Square." Song Gaozong ordered the owner of the jade shop to ask, and the boss said that a porter took it to the shop and sold it. Then Song Gaozong sent someone to find the basket picker, who replied, "I bought it from the cook in Chenzhai outside Chaomen." Song Gaozong sent someone to ask the cook outside Hou Chao's door. "。 As a result, the cook Chen replied, "You can get the yellow croaker by breaking its belly. "Song Gaozong threw the jade fan into the water and was swallowed by the yellow croaker in the water. Ten years later, the yellow croaker was slaughtered by the cook and the jade fan pendant was found. Then sold to a jade shop, Zhang Jun bought it from the jade shop and was accidentally seen by Song Gaozong. That's weird! After knowing the whole story, Song Gaozong thought that the recovery of the lost fan was a sign that the lost northern homeland would be recovered. So, under the great joy of the dragon face, a bunch of people related to the jade fan pendant were rewarded. The owner and basket picker of Qinghefang Jade Store were named as "a captain", the cook was named as "a Confucian general", and Zhang Jun was also rewarded (the owner and basket picker were added as a captain, and the cook was named as a Confucian general, which was rewarded by the king). It is no coincidence that Yuhuantou in the Song Dynasty is inlaid with ribbons in the Palace Museum in Beijing. A few decades later, a similar bizarre incident happened in Xichun (1174-1189) in the Southern Song Dynasty, and its owner was Zhao Gou, Song Gaozong. Otherwise, history is always strikingly similar, and Zhao Gou's forgetfulness is really urgent. At this point, Song Gaozong Zhao Gou has retired gloriously and passed the throne to Crown Prince Zhao Shen. Since then, he has claimed to be the emperor's father, and he is in a state of leisure and retirement every day. During the Xichun period in Zhao Gou, Song Gaozong, a scholar from Mingzhou (now Ningbo, Zhejiang), went to Lin 'an (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang) to try out the province. When the ship arrived at Cao 'e River, he met an old fisherman who was carrying a fresh big carp weighing seven or eight pounds to sell. Because this big carp is very tender and fat, the fisherman charges 500 yuan. The scholar likes this fish because it is fat and tender, so he bought it the next day to entertain guests. But it was a little hot at that time, and the scholar was worried that the fish would rot, so he asked the servant to cut it open and marinate it. As soon as the servant cut the fish open, he found a small decree in its belly. Jade seal jade crystal white, engraved with two words, but no one can recognize what it is. This scholar also has no knowledge in this field. He doesn't think it is a treasure. He just received it randomly in the box out of curiosity. Later, the scholar lived in a hotel in Beijing for a long time, and the travel expenses were not enough. It happened that a small vendor passed by the door and took out a small jade seal to show off, saying it was worth 5 thousand. The stall owner listened and was willing to pay 3000 yuan. The scholar didn't expect that someone would pay so much money for this small jade seal. He was very happy and sold it to a small vendor. The peddler didn't know it was a rare treasure. After buying a small seal, I just hung it on my bag for decoration. Later, when a small trader passed by the door of Deshou Palace, he happened to carry Zhang home from work. In the car, Zhang went to see the imperial seal on the stall owner's burden, asked someone to take it over and study it carefully, and called the peddler to his house to ask where he got it and how much it cost. As a result, the stall owner offered 5000 yuan, and Zhang paid the full amount, with a small jade seal on his waist. The ancient jade ornaments in the National Palace Museum were carried away by Deshou Palace, so I had the opportunity to get in touch with Emperor Zhao Gou. One day, Emperor Song Gaozong saw the little jade seal on my waist. Song Gaozong asked, "How did you get this?" "Zhang walked over and answered truthfully (with a bad smell), and said sadly," This is my old thing. The official of Imperial Jade Carved the word' Deji' to build a fire to avoid the enemy sea and fall into the water. This year, forty or fifty years will come back to my eyes. It turns out that this small imperial seal was brought out by Song Gaozong from Kaifeng, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, forty or fifty years ago. The two words inscribed on it are "Deji", which was carved by court officials at that time. Later, in order to avoid the pursuit of the Jin people, he accidentally fell into the water and lost it. The seal of Tugetu in the Southern Song Dynasty was recovered after many years, which reminded me of the "shame of Jingkang" many years ago and the embarrassing past of being chased by Jin people in the early years, which deeply touched me. Moreover, this coincidence is so bizarre that even this incident has been included in many ancient books in the past. This anecdote was included in Jian Yizhi by Hong Mai in the Southern Song Dynasty. This incident is also recorded in the "Five Miscellaneous Two" of Ming Metabolism. The lotus pattern towel ring of white jade fish in Song Dynasty is an important node in the history of jade development. Since the Song Dynasty, jade has entered the folk, which is no longer exclusive to the ruling class aristocrats, but has really become a commodity and participated in circulation, which indicates that China jade has officially entered the era of "civilian jade". Due to the prosperity and development of politics, economy and culture in the Song Dynasty, "secularization" became a prominent feature of the society in the Song Dynasty. It is under this social background that Zhang Zeduan's "The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" in the Northern Song Dynasty (part of it) can be divided into two main streams due to the rise of the literati class and the rise of the citizen class: on the one hand, due to the rise of epigraphy and the improvement of the literati status, a large number of literary plays such as antique jade and Four Treasures of the Study appeared in the Song Dynasty; On the other hand, with the continuous improvement of citizens' consumption level, jade used for secular decoration and display has formed a big market. Since then, jade articles in Song Dynasty have broken through the traditional jade concepts such as sacrifice and etiquette, and practical jade articles (such as playthings and pendants) have occupied a large proportion. Therefore, a large number of practical pendants with rich flavor of life appeared in jade articles in the Song Dynasty, which even promoted the emergence of new jade shapes such as "jade handle" and "Yushanzi". Therefore, "secularization" has become one of the main characteristics of jade in Song Dynasty. This also reflects from one side that Chinese jade has always occupied an important historical position in the traditional values of Chinese civilization during its development and evolution for thousands of years.
