Author Information in Annotations of The Analects of Confucius

Yang Bojun (1909 ~ 1992), formerly known as Yang Dechong, was a famous linguist from Changsha, Hunan. 1932 graduated from the Chinese Department of Peking University, and later served as a middle school teacher, member of General Feng Yuxiang's research office, lecturer of Guangdong Sun Yat-sen University, president of Hunan Democratic Newspaper, director of the Secretariat of Hunan Provincial Political Consultative Conference, director of the United Front Work Department of Hunan Provincial Committee, associate professor of Chinese Department of Peking University, associate professor of Chinese Department of Lanzhou University, editor of Zhonghua Book Company and director of Chinese Language Society. His contribution in the field of language and writing is mainly reflected in the study of ancient Chinese grammar and function words, as well as the collation and translation of ancient books.
