The Ministry of Commerce said recently that China will take six measures to expand imports and promote the balanced development of foreign trade this year.
These six measures include:
First, stabilize various import promotion policies and establish and improve the import promotion system.
The second is to further improve the facilitation of import trade, further relax import management, promote customs clearance efficiency, and implement inspection and quarantine facilitation measures.
Third, strengthen import promotion and hold import exhibitions and other trade promotion activities at the Canton Fair and other exhibitions.
Fourth, strengthen regional cooperation and promote the development of bilateral trade.
5. Continue trade and investment promotion activities;
6. Strengthen exchanges and negotiations, and urge relevant countries to relax export restrictions on China's high-tech products.
Statistics show that in 2009, China became the largest export market of Japan, Australia, South Korea, ASEAN and other countries, and the third largest export market of the United States, the European Union and India. In 2009, the proportion of these countries' exports to China in their total exports increased to varying degrees.
