The origin of Shushan family is very old, which was recorded as early as the pre-Qin period. Ancient pre-Qin books such as Shiben and Shan Hai Jing all have the name of "Shushan". To the early Han Dynasty, the name "Shushan's family" was recorded in Li Ji of the Great Generation and Historical Records. The book also called "the daughter of Shushan family surnamed Chang Pu", and the so-called "turbid (Shu) son" was known to the world in the era of the Yellow Emperor.
Generally speaking, the so-called Yellow Emperor Age refers to the last leaf of the Neolithic Age in China, which is roughly equivalent to the early Longshan Cultural Age in archaeology, about 26700 BC. It can be seen that this nation named after Shu was formed as early as four or five thousand years ago.
