Beautiful scenery of Dianchi lake
In 278 BC, the State of Chu sent Chu to pacify the southwest and led a team back to Jingzhou. Before he left Yunnan, he was intercepted by the State of Qin. As soon as he was finished, Zhuang Zhi simply sat on the mountain and watched the tigers fight, proclaimed himself emperor, established the state of Yunnan, and created and developed the civilization of Yunnan for 500 years.
Yunnan is located on the plateau. At that time, the traffic was backward and it was always called "the land of barbarians". Few people came here, so there are relatively few records about this area in history books, and people also lack understanding of its geographical environment, economy and civilization development. It was not until the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty that Dian was conquered and given the title of "Wang Yin of Dian" that Dian was officially recognized and incorporated into the territory of the Han Dynasty.

Documentary The Lost Kingdom of Ancient Yunnan
The ancient Dian kingdom existed for about 500 years in history, rising in the Warring States period and dying in the early years of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Its disappearance is still an unsolved mystery. Some people say it is a national migration, while others say it is a natural climate disaster. Only Sima Qian recorded this ancient civilization in several fragments in the Historical Records of Southwest China, and other studies are almost blank. We can only worship its prosperity and civilization from a small number of unearthed cultural relics and underwater ancient cities, guess its social structure and folk customs, and regret its demise.
