A preliminary study of Pu Fuzhou's clinical academic thought, a great master of Chinese medicine.

An important feature of the clinical academic thought of Mr. Pu Fuzhou, a master of traditional Chinese medicine, is to treat diseases with special emphasis on preserving stomach qi.

Emphasizing the preservation of stomach qi is an extremely important feature of Pu Lao's academic thought.

First, he thinks that the body is strong at the beginning of illness, and emphasizes that eliminating evil is to protect stomach qi. Eliminating pathogenic factors can smooth the stomach qi. This is quite prominent in his acute treatment. For example, in the medical records of Pufuzhou, children with severe measles are often treated with pungent drugs and plasters. And that little girl named Shi, who is treated with poison invagination, always uses spicy and cool propaganda to help relieve pain and drive away cold, which fully embodies this point. Pu Lao also advocates using a small dose, such as rowing a boat quickly, to eliminate pathogens as much as possible without hurting stomach qi and prevent pathogens from taking advantage of it.

Second, for patients with chronic diseases who are declining, he advocates "great accumulation, great gathering, and most of the decline will stop." Pathology should pay special attention to diet therapy. He believes that most drugs are plant stones, which are biased in nature and slightly improper in use. If they don't hurt Yang, they will hurt Yin. Stomach qi bears the brunt, and stomach qi is absolutely dangerous.

Pu Lao used tea instead of medicine to treat elderly patients with fever and yin damage blindly, which can be regarded as a typical medical case of Pu Lao's academic thought of protecting stomach qi and show his great medical style. The patient is a family member of the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After taking the medicine for a long time, the fever symptoms were slightly relieved. But the patient is irritable, insomnia, does not think about diet, does not defecate for seven days, and then vomits, eats rice, drinks water and spits medicine. The patient is an elderly person with a lingering course of disease. The children thought there was no hope of survival, and they asked if they could try to save Pu Lao. After Pu Lao asked about his illness, he specifically asked the patient what he wanted to eat. After learning that the patient only wanted to drink tea, he took 6 grams of "Longjing" tea to his family. Tea leaves are required to be put in two minutes after the water is boiled, and boiled at least twice before drinking with patients. The next day, the patient's family members came to report with surprise: "The tea has just been cooked, and my mother will drink it when she smells the tea. After a few drinks, she felt comfortable. Then my stomach growled, I farted two times, I discharged two pieces of dry shit, and I fell asleep that night. When you wake up in the morning, you know you are hungry. See what medicine Pu Lao still uses? " Pu Laoyun: Older people who have been ill for a long time take too much medicine, and their stomachs are greatly damaged. Now that their stomach is full of gas, they must not throw any more medicine stones. If there is a slight deviation in medication, their stomach qi will be completely destroyed, and the consequences will be unimaginable. It is recommended to use extremely thin rice porridge with a little to nourish stomach yin and stomach qi. After more than a month of nursing, the dying man actually recovered. Afterwards, Pu Lao recalled: "It was strange to become a fellow traveler after recovery, and I was so addicted to tea. Actually, it's nothing strange. At that time, there was only one line of stomach gas left in the patient. Although there is deficiency heat, you should not suffer from bitter cold, otherwise your stomach will fail. Therefore, tea is slightly bitter, slightly sweet, slightly cold, fragrant and pungent, which does not hurt yin, bitter in bitterness does not hurt yang, and sweet in bitterness can wake up the stomach and please the spleen. After tea, it will get angry and relieve dry stool. It's the spleen and stomach ascending and descending cardinal that has been running. Being able to sleep and begging after waking up is proof of the harmony between yin and yang. And "using less" is the key to management. If greed is enterprising, it will be destroyed. " Old Pu said, "Anyone who knows this can be a doctor. Grains, fruits and vegetables, the cloud in Neijing is for nourishing, helping and filling. The most pleasant thing is not to hurt the spleen and stomach. "

Third, he also opposes eating nutrition after illness. Pu Lao has repeatedly stressed that we should not think that drugs can cure all diseases. Excessive use of drugs can not only eliminate diseases, but also disrupt the coordination of qi and blood and form "drug-induced diseases".

To sum up, Pu Lao often said that the preservation and abolition of stomach qi is the key to the life and death of patients, and whether it can be preserved in treatment is the standard to measure the quality of a doctor.

The theoretical system of Pu's Chinese medicine, represented by Mr. Pu Fuzhou, is based on Neijing and Treatise on Febrile Diseases, followed by the theory of afterlife, and combined with the clinical practice of several generations. Its core is dialectical treatment, which is precise and flexible according to people, time and place. This fully embodies the characteristics of accurate syndrome differentiation, accurate medication and good curative effect of Pu's Chinese medicine, and shows the eternal truth that "the vitality of Chinese medicine lies in clinical curative effect".
