How does China's calligraphy go to the world?

As an important part of the 15th China Shanghai International Art Festival, the first Shanghai Calligraphy Art Festival, sponsored by China Calligraphers Association, Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Shanghai Branch of Xinhua News Agency, Songjiang District Government and Shanghai Calligraphers Association, held three exhibitions and 1 forum in Songjiang. Among them, the "Exhibition of the Second Reply Cup National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Competition", "Invitation Exhibition of Calligraphy Works of United Nations Officials and Diplomats in China" and "International Invitation Exhibition of Chinese Character Calligraphy" were exhibited in Songjiang Art Museum and Songjiang Guangfulin Cultural Exhibition Hall; "Contemporary Calligraphy Creation and How China Calligraphy Goes to the World —— International Forum" was held in Songjiang Urban Planning Museum. It is worth mentioning that the forum with the theme of "How China's Calligraphy Goes to the World" is the first time in China.

In February, the first China-Japan-Korea International Youth Calligraphy Art Exchange Competition was successfully held.

In June, the Confucius Institute of Moscow University held the China Cultural Festival, and its seal cutting art exhibition was particularly eye-catching.

In July, "The Beauty of Chinese Characters China Calligraphy Exhibition" was exhibited in Australia, and "China Calligraphy Around the World" toured to Sydney, the third stop after Paris and Berlin.

In August, Li Binquan, a music calligrapher, joined hands with Chinese and foreign musicians to perform "2 0 12 London Olympic China Calligraphy Concert" at Wells Theatre in London, England.

165438+ 10, "China Seal and Li Lanqing Seal Carving Calligraphy Art Exhibition" was held at the British Museum in London; "Going to the World" invited exhibition by famous contemporary painters and painters was exhibited in new york; "The Capital of Art" Paris Grand Palace International Art Exhibition was held in Paris Grand Palace, and ten China painters and painters were invited.

It is reasonable to analyze and summarize the efforts made by China's calligraphy to go global this year. It is not difficult to find that in this process, the most common way for China people is to go abroad for exhibitions, that is, to take the initiative or be invited to participate in foreign painting and calligraphy exhibitions. Furthermore, it is to organize transnational youth calligraphy competitions through the strength of the government and associations, or to spread China calligraphy through the Confucius Institute.
