There were many famous scholars in the early New Asia, such as Mr. Wu, Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China during the National Government, and students of Dewey (1859- 1952), a famous American philosopher and educator. Mr. Yang Rumei, who teaches economics, has long been famous in mainland financial circles. Calligrapher Zeng Keduan, historian Zuo Shunsheng, Oracle Bone Inscriptions expert Dong Zuobin, sinologist Tsung i Jao, Luo Xianglin and others have all taught in Xinya. In 1960s and 1970s, Mou Zongsan and Xu came here to give lectures, and Xinya Academy was regarded as the base for the revival of Confucianism in China.
1959 Xinya College accepted the proposal of the Hong Kong government and became a tertiary institution, taking the unified diploma examination and receiving financial assistance from the Hong Kong government. 1963 The Chinese University of Hong Kong was established, consisting of Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College. Xinya became a member college, from 65438 to 0973 to the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Maliushui, Sha Tin.
