The rise of Wei Bei is not far away, from Bao, Ruan Yuan and Kang Youwei to Zhao, Yu Youren and today. In just a decade or two, the style has also changed significantly. Before Sun Boxiang, the strokes were written casually, paying more attention to the connotation, charm and spirit of Weibei and the charm of Sun Boxiang. But in words, the knife is painted with strokes, which is serious and slightly artificial. Of course, in terms of form, Sun Boxiang is more like it! After that, Weibei probably focused on form, and its spiritual connotation was slightly inferior to that of Sun. Compared with Yu Youren, Kang Youwei and other sages, it is obviously unnecessary to say more.
Why is Weibei difficult to learn? I think there are three points.
1. Stroke shapes are difficult to learn. Weibei and Fang Bi are the main themes, which are difficult to express with a brush. Description is the most convenient, but calligraphy is not allowed, so it is extremely difficult for him to write it all at once. Generally, it needs to be completed in one stroke, and there is probably only one way to write it, such as exposing the front into the pen, reversing the pen, twisting the pipe and adjusting the front, and so on. But it is hard to be angular and strong.
2. The external structure is difficult to learn. Anyone who studies Wei Bei knows that Wei Bei's knot is not easy to remember, but it is better to stick it, and it is completely invisible. Generally speaking, it is not easy to see, which is different from the common word structure and difficult to remember. Secondly, the same word can be completely different in form, which is not in line with the habit of memory. Compared with Tang Kai, this is much more difficult. Mr. Qi Gong said that He Ji Shao, a great calligrapher in Qing Dynasty, wrote an epitaph for Zhang Xuan, with profound skill and confusing inscriptions. However, when he was at ease, there was no shadow of Zhang Xuan's epitaph. Such a great calligrapher did it, which shows that Wei Bei's knot was hard-won.
3. Inner spirit is difficult to learn. Generally speaking, Weibei is famous for its simplicity, intensity, massiness and atmosphere. Nowadays, many people who study Wei Bei only take the form of strokes, which is dull and lifeless. Not only today, Mr. Qi Gong said that Wei Bei and Bao Chen Shi wrote the Zheng Wengong Monument for the longest time, and the fine print is very similar, but it is not as simple and simple as the Zheng Wengong Monument. Why can Sun Boxiang stand out in Weibei? In addition to the times, he wrote the spirit of Weibei. Although his words are rough and hasty, they are all like Cao Meng heroes, and their faces are solemn.
