willow
Author: Ceng Gong
Chaos is not yet yellow, leaning against the east wind.
I wonder if there is frost in heaven and earth.

The messy willow branches have not turned yellow, but they turn green quickly under the east wind.
I only know that the sun and the moon are covered with flying flocs, but I don't know that there is autumn frost between heaven and earth.

"Chanting Willow" is one of the eight famous poets in Tang and Song Dynasties, and Ceng Gong's poem in the Northern Song Dynasty is a poem about the heart. Ceng Gong is better at writing than at least. His style of writing is graceful and plain, not revealing, but as reasonable as possible. Some of his poems about objects have profound meanings, such as this poem "Singing Willow", which compares the willow tree in spring to a "villain" with rampant power to satirize evil forces.
The first two sentences of the poem say: Spring has come, and the messy wicker has not had time to turn pale blue and yellow, and it is swaying by the east wind, and the momentum is even more rampant. At the beginning of the poem, the language is ironic and contemptuous. Described how "disorderly articles" rely on power, bared their teeth and acted rashly. In fact, it is preparing for the theme of the whole poem, which is what the ancients called "gaining power."
With enough momentum, an irrefutable conclusion is bound to be drawn, so the last two sentences naturally come, warning: those catkins will only fly for half a day, trying to cover up the glory of the sun and the moon, but they don't know that when autumn comes, there will be frost after frost between heaven and earth, and then they will wither. "I wonder if there is frost in heaven and earth" is the crowning touch of the whole poem. It gives a solemn warning to those who succeed at the moment and arouses people's vigilance.
The personification of willow in the poem and the poet's obvious condescension and ridicule to willow make this poem not simply chant willow in nature. Chanting willow satirizes the world, aiming at those snobs who are rampant when they are in power. Integrating things with philosophy is profound and thought-provoking.
