Today, this street is still dominated by catering industry, and there are more than 40 shops operating famous snacks, teahouses and restaurants in Zizhong. At the north entrance of the street, on the wooden pillars on both sides of the street, couplets written by Bao Rukai, a famous Sichuan calligrapher who studied politics in the former Zizhong School, reflect the prosperity of this street in that year.
In the Qing dynasty, a street from Fujinmen in the east to Huaiyuanmen in the west.
The total length of Shenyang Road is1340m, and there are about 100 shops on both sides of the street, mainly engaged in antique calligraphy and painting, tourist souvenirs, restaurants, hospitals and teahouses.
When Shenyang Road was called Qing Culture Street, it was also divided into three areas according to relevant information, from Huaiyuan Gate to Xihuamen, which was a leisure and entertainment area. From Xihuamen to Donghuamen is a cultural tourist area; From Donghuamen to Fujinmen is a dining and entertainment area, and it is basically the same now.
In addition to the architectural style of Shenyang Road, there are several places worth mentioning in this once Qing Dynasty cultural street, such as Shengjing Antique City near Huaiyuan Gate, which is a gathering place for antique calligraphy and painting and tourist souvenir shops near Shenyang Forbidden City. Generally, individual travelers and foreign tour groups come here to have a look around.
Rong Baozhai is a big family and is often introduced to tourists by tour guides. Mainly engaged in antiques, calligraphy and painting, various tourist souvenirs, and also held some cultural works exhibitions. Shenyang Cultural Relics Store, Shenyang Museum of Contemporary Art, Huangchenggen Painting and Calligraphy Institute and Shenyang Qinggong Bookstore also have their own characteristics. Here you can buy native products of Northeast China, books about Shenyang Forbidden City that you can't buy elsewhere, purple and gold carbon sculptures, small objects made in Russia and so on. On legal holidays, Yangwei Lane and Shi Si Lane of Shenyang Road also have inexpensive small commodities open-air stalls, which are very lively.
Shenyang Dashuaifu International Youth Hostel was originally the "officers' club" of the Northeast Army of Zhang Xueliang. Built in 1925, it still retains its original European design and architectural style. The four dark green jade pillars on the first floor of the hotel (domestic 10, the other six are now in Shanghai) and the colored floor tiles in the corridor on the third floor are the original objects of the newly built "officers' club". There are also photos of General Zhang Xueliang's military career in various periods in the hostel.
The Wugong Square and Wende Square on a street in the Qing Dynasty were built by Nurhachi and Huang Taiji to celebrate their Wende Martial Arts, while the Wooden Pailou was always inlaid with two opposite wooden doors in the Qing Dynasty, so people were not allowed to pass through it. Wugong Square and Wende Square are two gates of Shenyang Forbidden City, which were built in 1637 (the second year of Chongde in Qing Dynasty). Wugong Square is located in the west of Daqingmen, and Wende Square is located in the east of Daqingmen.
Walking on a street in Shenyang in the Qing Dynasty, I feel very unique. On this 1300-meter-long street, the Dragon Tower is fluttering in the wind, full of jagged teeth, towering, pavilions, ups and downs, restaurants and business halls, and the commercial sector and Ding Xia are mixed, winning glory for us. "Jinbian, famous pavilions, famous shops, blue bricks, ancient scenery, ancient capital" scene! At present, "Shengjing Cultural Tourism Industrial Zone" has been built, which is an emerging tourism economic industrial zone based on the rich historical culture, featuring the unique Manchu-Han landscape and the Shenyang Forbidden City. It is divided into three areas, from Huaiyuan Gate to Xihuamen is a leisure and entertainment area, from Lianghuamen to Donghuamen is a cultural tourism area, and from Donghuamen to Fujinmen is a dining and entertainment area. Every night, the lanterns here begin to bloom and complement the stars in the sky, forming a new style of dragon rhyme for us, that is, "the lanterns are reflected on the fifth day of the first month, and colorful flags greet guests hand in hand." How can we not let people remember the past and be filled with emotion?
