An Rui was born in 1956. He is currently a member of China Artists Association, vice president of Heilongjiang Branch of Global Chinese Artists Association, member of China Calligraphers Association, member of Heilongjiang Calligraphers Association, member of Heilongjiang Seal Cutting Research Association and vice president of Harbin Civil Servants Calligraphers Association.
