Character Profile: Official of the Ming Dynasty , calligraphers, painters, poets. Jinshi in the second year of Longqing. He served as an edict in Kuaiji, an official in Chuzhou, and a deputy envoy to promote education in Fujian. He is a poet of the Tang Dynasty, with pure calligraphy and exquisite landscape paintings, including "Qingyin Pavilion Collection", "Hai Dai Yin", "Min Youcao", "Garden Residence Manuscript" and "Qingshan Ji Legend". The Suzhou stone carving of Gu Dadian was carved in 1827 (the seventh year of Daoguang reign in the Qing Dynasty). It was painted by Kong Jiyao of the Qing Dynasty, with Zhengshu Zan written by Shi Yunyu and engraved by Tan Songpo. It is one of the "Five Hundred Statues of Sages in Canglang Pavilion". The bust of Gu Dadian is taken from the collection of Gu Yuan of the Qing Dynasty, "Pictures and Biography of Famous Sages in Wu County" published in the 9th year of Daoguang's reign, and painted by Kong Jiyao of the Qing Dynasty.
