Shifang city is a county-level city in Sichuan Province, which is managed by Deyang City. In the sixth year of Emperor Gaozu (20 1 BC), Zhifu was the Hou State, and in the first year of Ding Yuan, the Hou State was withdrawn and reduced to an ordinary county. 1996, Shifang County was abolished and shifang city (county level) was established.
Shifang city is located in Chengdu Plain in central Sichuan, more than 50 kilometers south of Chengdu, with an area of 864 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 2 sub-district offices, 14 towns with a population of about 430,000. Shifang is a famous historical and cultural city in Sichuan Province. Shifang is also the hometown of Eight Zuma, the southern Zen Sect, and the fief of Yong Chi, the famous Han Dynasty, so shifang city is also called Yongcheng. The natural landscape of Shifang mainly includes Huashan Mountain and Qingniu Camel Scenic Area.
In 2006, Shifang was awarded the title of "the hometown of mineral water in China" by China Mining Federation for the first time. In June, 2007, China Organizing Committee awarded shifang city "Cigar Town of China". From June, 2008 to October, 2008, Shifang was named as "the hometown of folk culture and art (calligraphy) in China" by the Ministry of Culture.
The mountainous area of Shifang belongs to the Jiuding Mountain System of Longmen Mountain Range, which is northeast-southwest trending. Longmen Mountain enters the territory of Shifang via Jiaobi Mountain, with an altitude of more than 4,000 meters. From the mountain to the junction of Nantianmen and the northern mountainous area of Pengzhou, a perennial peak of more than 4,500 meters bends to the southeast, to the east to Erka, and then to the south, that is, Huashan. The northwest of Huashan Mountain is mountainous, belonging to alpine meadow area, and the southeast is mountainous, winding into a flat dam.
