The 24 heroes are: (in order)
Zhao Gong Wuji, Zhao Li, Lai Gong Du Ruhui, Wei Zhi, Liang Gong, Shen Gong Gao Shilian, E Gong Wei Chi Jingde, Wei Gong Li Jing, Song Gong Xiao Yu, Bao Gong Duan Zhixuan, Kui Gong Liu Hongji, Jiang Gong Qu Tutong, Xun Gong Yin Jiao, Qiao Gong Chai Shao, Pi Gong Chang Sun Shunde, Pi Gong Chang.
These twenty-four people are the founding heroes of the Tang Dynasty. In the seventeenth year of Zhenguan (AD 78 1 year), in order to commemorate and commend the contributions of these heroes, Li Shimin of Emperor Taizong ordered the famous painter Yan to write The Picture of Twenty-four Heroes, and the calligrapher Chu Suiliang inscribed it and put it in Lingyange as a souvenir to watch frequently.
Since then, Lingyange has become synonymous with heroes, and ministers are proud of being admitted to Lingyange. Li He, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, once wrote "South Garden" (the fifth song), taking Lingyange as a symbol of success in life.
