At the beginning of my calligraphy career, I chose many pagodas and monuments in Yan Zhenqing. I don't know if my choice suits me. Anyway, I began to like Yan Zhenqing's ci at that time.
At first, Yan Zhenqing's handwriting was not good, and his strokes were always too thin. We all know that Duobao has great power, and I always make my Duobao very thin. Later, it was written that I started to have money, but I was too rich. His level is really not very good. A 9cm grid on wool paper can't hold my words. I want to cry when the word is small, but I want to cry when the word is big.
However, I met many people later, and I also saw many articles on the official account of WeChat. Most people choose Ou Yangxun's copybook as their original copybook. Of course, it is reasonable for most people to choose Ou Yangxun's copybook. When I copied Ou Yangxun's copybook for the first time, firstly, the changes of stroke thickness in horizontal and vertical painting methods were not particularly obvious, which was easier for beginners to master. Second, Ou Yangxun's writing is not so expressive between returning to the peak and writing. Many of Ou Yangxun's words are written directly without returning to the peak, which may be relatively simple for beginners. Thirdly, the overall structure of Ou Yangxun's Ci is square and has not changed much. It is difficult for beginners to master the font structure, and Ou Yangxun's copybook can just avoid this. Even beginners can write neatly and can't fly.
I always think that learning whose copybook is learning whose attitude towards life, words have spirit and soul, and what kind of words a person will write. Most of Yan Zhenqing's words are full and vigorous, and Yan Zhenqing is a model of integrity wherever he is.
Zhao Mengfu's ci is more natural and unrestrained on the basis of being vigorous, powerful and full. Zhao Mengfu hates officialdom, advocates freedom, and his words are so free and easy.
