Brief introduction of Tiefo Temple

Tiefo Temple was founded in the eighth year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, and it was named after casting three iron buddhas in the forty-third year of Jiaqing in the Ming Dynasty. Today's Tiefo Temple is large in scale and spectacular in architecture. From the inside out, from the hall of Mahatma facing north to south. "Mahatma" is a title of respect for the Buddha, which means that the Buddha is fearless and omnipotent, and his divine power can subdue the poor devil and protect all beings. Therefore, as long as there are Buddhist temples, there is the Mahatma Hall, where the Buddha of Sakyamuni III is enshrined, and there are pharmacists on both sides. According to Buddhist legend, Sakyamuni was an ancient Indian and a prince. He thought that the mission of coming to the world was to save monks from suffering, so he gave up royal life and founded Buddhism. The time when Sakyamuni lived (about 565-486 BC) was almost the same as that when Confucius lived (55 1-479 BC). Both of them are famous for their profound thoughts.

In front of the Ursa Major Hall, there are partial halls on the east and west sides, dedicated to eighteen arhats. According to records, after the Buddha entered the East, it continued from the Tang Dynasty to the Song Dynasty, Jin Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty because of the wrong portrait. Finally, Emperor Qianlong "decided" to add two arhats, dragon and tiger, eighteen * *. The top 16 arhats are ranked in no particular order, while the last two are fixed. Other temples have 16 arhats and 18 arhats, and then the ranks continue to expand, so it is not surprising that there are 500 arhats and 800 arhats. Eighteen arhats are the most popular arhats in different postures. It looks different, for example, Lohan holding a bowl turned out to be a beggar, Lohan riding an elephant turned out to be an elephant trainer, Vajraputra was a hunter, Lohan digging his ears was a theorist, Lohan with long eyebrows was a congenital fetal belt, Lohan sitting on a deer was good at showing off his skills, raised his hand and sighed that he was an illegitimate child, and Sakyamuni's only biological son, Lolo, was a meditation Lohan. The vivid human life of the 18 arhats has added a lot of vitality to the disciplined and deserted Buddhism. There is an iron incense burner in the center of the temple, which is about two and a half meters long and more than one meter high and one meter low. On the front, there is the word "Iron Buddha Hall", and on the back, there is a cloud picture of a tiger's head, which is magnificent and magnificent.

Stepping into the mountain gate and walking through these steps, you can step on all the troubles of life and leave them behind. The mountain gate is also called Sanmen, with the Heavenly King Hall in the middle, the Earth Treasure Hall in the east and the Guangdi Hall in the west. Tianwang Temple is divided into four heavenly kings, commonly known as the "Four donkey kong". Their task is to protect every side of the world. The king of the East holds the pipa, which shows that he wants to convert all monks to Buddhism with music. The growth king in the south holds a sword to protect Buddhism from infringement. The Queen Mother of the West stared at Yi Long with big eyes. He can observe the world with his eyes at any time and protect all beings. The North King has a lot of news. He held a silver rat in his left hand and a treasure umbrella in his right hand to subdue demons and protect people's lives and property. Although they are all, they are all loyal guardians of peace and the most famous legal guardians. Maitreya Buddha, who is enshrined in the middle, is said to be a disciple of Sakyamuni before he came to China, and intends to let him take over. Nowadays, all kinds of potbellied Maitreya Buddhas have entered thousands of households, bringing joy to people. Contrary to Maitreya, the Wei Tuo Bodhisattva, who is in charge of guarding the Hall of the Great Hero, holds a pestle with his hands folded, which means that this temple receives monks who come here for free to eat and live. Here, one said welcome, and the other said come in and receive eight benefactors.

At the entrance of the mountain, Han Zhimo's calligraphy couplet is used, which reads, "When you stick to the mountain to hide the spirit, it means that the earth is not the earth, but also the earth is full of energy and beauty. The transformation of Bodhisattva means that the opposite side is different, but also wisdom and understanding."

The couplets in the Palace of Heaven "always smile, always smile. How much sadness can there be in the world, and a round belly can let you know how to sail well. "

The use of Dong Huijie's calligraphy in the main hall is "talking about the westernization of the East, pointing out wrong ideas and acting as proof of nothingness, and returning to the source when the truth comes out".
