Followed by Zhong You's letters. Zhong You was a calligrapher in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and his Xiao Zhuan is one of his representative works. The words on this scroll are light, round, smooth and natural, giving people a fresh feeling. Calligraphy techniques, with natural and unrestrained strategy, rounded shape, smooth brushwork and description in one go, constitute a perfect font.
The third is "good quantity". Good Volume is a manuscript of Good Book written by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, with delicate and neat fonts and subtle strokes, which makes people look pleasing to the eye. The whole work conforms to the basic laws of calligraphy and shows Dr. Sun Yat-sen's talent and calligraphy attainments.
The last one is Laoting Sword. Jade Pavilion Jian, written by Wang Xizhi, a famous calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty, is a rare and precious cultural relic in the history of Chinese calligraphy. The whole work is thick and steady with a pen, rigorous and cautious in structure, square in font and precipitous and meticulous in brushwork, which is one of the best works in Wang Xizhi's calligraphy. Its small seal script is rigorous and standardized, and its strokes are fine, which constitutes a beautiful calligraphy work.
Generally speaking, as a calligraphy art, Xiao Zhuan enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad because of its profound historical and cultural background and unique artistic charm. These calligraphy works of Xiao Zhuan not only show the talents and skills of calligraphers, but also are valuable heritages of Chinese calligraphy art, which are worthy of our inheritance and development.
