Wang Xiaobo was born in Sichuan in 1968. He graduated from Qi Baishi Art (Adult) College in Beijing and completed an on-the-job online graduate degree at Tsinghua University. Now he is a freelance guest writer, art critic, artist, current affairs commentator, columnist, and China registered senior planner.
Currently, he serves as art critic of "Art Shanghai" and senior advisor to the president of the British Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Society. He once served as the deputy editor-in-chief of "Contemporary Art Network", the columnist of "Hong Kong Art Review", the columnist of "Art City" of China Tianlu Linlang Art Network, and the executive director/executive curator of the preparatory period of the Chinese Folk Cultural Relics and Art Expo Organizing Committee. He is now a registered senior planner in China, an international and domestic freelance writer, and a famous art critic. Wang Xiaobo’s art criticism covers a wide range of visual arts, including fine art calligraphy, new media art, film and television entertainment, music and songs, etc. He writes art reviews for internationally renowned artists, Chinese, descendants of the Hong Kong Lingnan School, famous young artists and art groups, and publishes art reviews and criticisms in international and domestic newspapers and websites.
