Jin Denian, male, born in 1934, is a famous calligrapher, and was once the president of Tsinghua University Calligraphy Association. Now he is the chief art consultant of Yuquanshan Painting and Calligraphy Institute of China Painting and Calligraphy Association.

Jin was a well-known calligrapher in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province during the Republic of China, and the father of Mr. Jin Denian. At the age of five, he began to paint red under the guidance of his father Kim.

At the age of eight, he began to write about Copybook for calligraphy. He began to learn from Tang Kai, then learned from Two Kings, and successively wrote famous posts such as Ou Yangxun Jiucheng Palace and Zhang Qianbei, which laid a solid "childlike innocence" for embarking on the road of calligraphy art. 12 years old wrote Spring Festival couplets to surrounding villagers with his father.

At the age of 28, he began to copy the calligraphy of Wen Zhiming, a famous painter and writer in Ming Dynasty, absorbed its essence and gradually formed his own calligraphy style.

Professor Jin Danian is proficient in seal script, official script, cursive script, calligraphy and regular script. His calligraphy is unpretentious, rigorous in structure, vigorous and broad, vigorous in brushwork, magnificent and magnificent.

Professor Jin's running script was included in Peking University Fangzheng Font Library under the name of "De Nian Ti", which left a valuable cultural heritage for the world.

Professor Jin's calligraphy is all over the campus of Tsinghua, and he can be seen in departments, conference halls, laboratories, cultural landscapes and some faculty members' homes, especially the vigorous and unique Chinese characters such as "Near Spring Garden Site", "Ziqingge" and "Linyi Pavilion", which are even more fascinating.

In particular, Tsinghua's signboards, "Second School Gate" and "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond" were all created by Professor Jin.
