Yan Jun's life
Yan Jun, don't sign Mei Dingzhai. Born in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, 1934. I like calligraphy and seal cutting since I was a child, and I have never been lazy in copying. At the end of 1960s, I studied under Mr. Sha Menghai, the master of the book circle at that time, and got specific guidance from Yu and Shi Shizhen. His calligraphy is true and careless, and he is good at official script seal cutting, especially fine seal cutting. He is good at flowers and birds, landscapes and loves painting plum blossoms, and is called "a plum flower in the south of the Yangtze River". There are both traditional pen and ink paintings by writers and literati paintings. Yan Jun's profound artistic attainments benefit from his long-term engagement in cultural relics and archaeology, and his profound knowledge has formed a scholarly artistic style. Committed to cultural relics archaeology, theoretical research on painting and calligraphy, and painting and calligraphy appraisal, and published more than 500,000 words.
