Brief introduction of Dayun Temple in Xiajin

Xiajin Dayun Temple is located in the southeast of Zhangfasi Village, Tun Town, East Li Guan, Xiajin County. There used to be a towering hall called Dayun Hall. Dayun Temple is a famous temple among thousands of temples in Fiona Fang, and it is a holy place that dignitaries yearn for and worship all their lives. Dayun Temple, golden age, destroyed in Yuan Dynasty, rebuilt in Ming Dynasty, and built a thousand Buddha pavilions. It has a long history, and many famous poems left by Xu literati have been passed down through the ages. Today, there are still many touching stories about the construction of the Thousand Buddha Pavilion among the people. Thousand Buddha Pavilion is the main building in Dayun Temple complex, with a height of nearly 40 meters and an area of 1 332 square meters. The door of the pavilion faces south, and the plaque of "Thousand Buddhas Pavilion" with gold characters on a black background is hung on the door. The handwriting is vigorous and powerful, which was inscribed by Fang, a famous calligrapher in Ming Dynasty. The pavilion is divided into three floors: one is a thousand Buddha statues, the other is for doing things or chanting, and the third is for tourists to visit. Thousand Buddha Pavilion is tall and straight, and the whole pavilion is made of stone-brick wood structure and mixed beam frame. Luan archway bends freely, with red and white patterns on it, and the pavilion ridge is decorated like wings. The building is large in scale and neat in structure. Thousands of Buddha statues, 3 meters high, have different expressions, some are dignified as brave soldiers on the battlefield, and some are solemn and elegant as Confucian scholars. Thousands of Buddha sculptures are vivid and gripping, and tourists quickly admire them. This exhibition hall can hold more than 1000 people at the same time.

Dayun Temple has three gates: the mountain gate, the east gate and the west gate, which are 650 meters long. On the first and fifteenth day of the first lunar month, men, women and children bring fruit offerings, tin foil and silver ingots, incense sticks and paper horses to the Thousand Buddha Pavilion to make a wish. Light a few incense sticks to worship Buddha and pray for everything. In particular, the Universiade Temple Fair will be held from August 8th to15th in the lunar calendar. People from all over the country, whether high-ranking officials, literati, rich people or ordinary people, come and go. There are many stalls and shops on both sides of Dayun Temple Avenue, in Dayun Temple Courtyard and around Qianfo Pavilion. People are crowded and jostled with each other. Animals and vendors are everywhere in the country, and merchants are prosperous. The incense in the Thousand Buddha Pavilion is so strong that you can smell it for miles away. There is a poem "You Dayun Temple" written by Shen Zhong in Shandong Province in the Ming Dynasty as evidence: "The road is full of flying incense for three miles, and there are voices under the eaves."

Deng Qian Buddha Pavilion is the most spectacular place to visit the surrounding landscape. At night, tourists climb the top floor of Doug, stop and look out, and instantly feel that they are in the sky and can reach the starry sky; In the early morning, patches of rosy clouds are refracted on the crystal clear dew, bringing tourists into colorful fairyland. If you climb the Taoist pavilion in different seasons and look around, you will be surprised to find that different exquisite scrolls overflow your eyes in each season: like summer wheat waves, layers of golden clouds are flying in the fields; Autumn ears of wheat, like a huge silk bed, dance with the wind, making your eyes flash with a gentle and comfortable scene; A heavy snow in winter, the earth is silvery white, which makes tourists abandon all the troubles in the world and purify their hearts. There is also the smoke rising from the kitchen in the village, the cock crowing in the treetops before dawn, especially watching the sunrise in Ma Jiahe from the gazebo, which is another touching picture that makes people linger, attracting many senior officials and dignitaries to get together and feel happy. Shen Zhong, a Shandong scholar in the Ming Dynasty, finally wrote in the poem "When Guandi Temple": "Besides Lingyan, how dare other trivial things compete for the top?"

After the founding of

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Thousand Buddhas Pavilion in Dayun Temple has become a broken wall and has been cultivated by local people. However, the legend that it is difficult for Master Zhang to build Dayun Temple and Thousand Buddhas Pavilion is widely known among the people in Xiajin, Gaotang, Pingyuan and Linqing. In the early Ming Dynasty, Zhang, a native of Ye County, Laizhou, Shandong Province, was determined to save the world from diseases since childhood. He studied medicine seriously and studied hard, which can cure many intractable diseases. After studying medicine successfully, he wants to find a vast world to display his medical skills. When Zhang was treating a horse dealer, he heard that Dayun Temple in Xiajin was a famous temple in Shandong. During the temple fair, thousands of people visited every day, which touched Zhang's heart. In the twenty-fourth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, Zhang came to this temple with his female apprentice Fu Kuan, and saw that Dayun Temple was in ruins, but the base site still existed and the incense was cold. Zhang is determined to restore the prosperity of Dayun Temple. So he led the women and disciples to clean up the place where a small temple lived. Zhang Tiantian went to the village to see a doctor and give medicine to the people, never caring about gold and silver, and the medicine was deeply loved by the people. Zhang's reputation as a good doctor has spread among the people. Seeing that he only healed his body and did not change the hearts of all sentient beings, he refused to listen to his family's persuasion and resolutely converted to Buddhism for all sentient beings. He was called "Master Zhang". At the same time, his wife became a monk in Zhang Gu 'an, ten miles away from Dayun Temple. This matter soon spread to Xiajin, Gaotang, Linqing and Pingyuan. In the movie "Jigong", the stories of collecting firewood from a well and treating patients all come from the "three monks" in Dayun Temple. This legend has been circulating in our country for hundreds of years.

At that time, "Master Zhang" was old and entrusted the development of the temple to disciple Fu Kuan and disciple Ge Fuzheng. After 70 years of hard work, he has built seven temples, namely, Three Buddhas, Protecting the Buddha, Great Compassion, Five Hundred Arhats, King Kong, Thick Earth and Arctic, among which the Thousand Buddhas Pavilion has become the crown of all temples in Shandong. Galand has four grandfathers, two bells and drums, twenty monasteries and five abbots. There is also a monastery in the southwest, four inner tomb towers, an ordinary tower, a kitchen and bathroom, and an open-air grain drying field. All the appliances are complete, including potters, casters, painters and gardeners. Construction began with orthodox Jiazi, and finally it was smooth and sweet. In the past 20 years, Xu County and Xue County have come to sponsor, and the donor Wu Fucheng saw it and generously sponsored it. Fu Kuan followed Master's wishes and led his disciples to seize the time to build this temple with high quality. After the temple was built, Master Zhang smiled happily and closed his eyes. ...

Zhang's story of rebuilding the Thousand-Buddha Pavilion in Dayun Temple has been recorded in the Ming history, and his story of going to Wan Li to cure diseases for building the temple is also deeply admired by people. Qian Pu, an academician of the Ming Dynasty, visited Dayun Temple and boarded the Thousand Buddhas Pavilion. Then he lamented, "There is nothing in the world that can't be achieved without cooperation. Persevering people can win many people, while those who are clever and pretentious want to be immune and not suffer ... So, those who feel that they are doing things in the world can ask for help if they practice well. Why can't they succeed?" Although Zhang's story has passed hundreds of years, it has been circulated among the people to this day.
