1986, Shijiazhuang Zhao Yan Secondary Art School, the predecessor of Shijiazhuang Oriental Art Vocational College, was established.
On May 24th, 2002, Shijiazhuang Zhao Yan Secondary Art School was upgraded to Shijiazhuang Oriental Art Vocational College.
On April 12, 2009, the school started construction of the Oriental Cultural and Creative Industry Base, with a planned area of 1200 mu and a total investment of 2.474 billion yuan. It consists of five major parts, such as "Movie and Animation City", "Folk Arts Park" and "Oriental Art History Park", covering seven categories of cultural creativity, including education and training, artistic research and creation, cultural tourism and cultural display.
