Li Wenyan's introduction
Li Wenyan (1936. 10-), male, Han nationality, Shanghainese, party member, professor. 1958 was admitted to Arabic major of Oriental Language Department in Peking University, 1959 transferred to Arabic major of Foreign Affairs College, 1962 taught Arabic major of Beijing Foreign Studies University after graduation from Foreign Affairs College. Mainly engaged in Arab Islamic culture, Arab calligraphy art, Middle East issues and other research. Courses such as Arabic calligraphy, newspaper reading, interpretation and translation were offered for undergraduates. Participated in compiling the textbook Arabic (Volume 5), the reference book Islamic Dictionary and the monograph Various Aspects of Islamic Culture. His published papers mainly include Ancient Islamic Coins, Terrorist Activities in the Middle East and the Debate between Germany and France, Natural Gas-the Second Energy in the Arab World, and On the Art of Arabic Calligraphy. He has published many translations and articles in Foreign Literature and Foreign Culture (Xiamen Daily Supplement). Arabic calligraphy works enjoy a high reputation in China and have been presented to Arab leaders.
