Historical origin

Tracing back to the source, 5000 years ago, local ordinary people (Miao ancestors) discovered one of the two natural salt springs that flowed out of the surface in southwest China at that time-Yushan Funiu Mountain Salt Spring, and took water to get salt, which started the 5000-year stormy course of Yushan (Ren Naiqiang's New Exploration of Sichuan Ancient History). From Xia and Shang Dynasties to the Spring and Autumn Period, it was an important economic lifeline of Pakistan. During the Warring States period, because of its important strategic position, Yushan was captured by many heroes and plundered by Chu and Qin successively. In the first year of Jianyuan in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 140), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty established Fuling County to administer Yushan (the following administrative agencies were all located in Yushan Town); Fuling County was established in the first year of Zhangwu (AD 22 1). In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Baoding Emperor of the Northern Zhou Dynasty established Fengzhou in four years (AD 564) and changed it to Ganzhou ten years later; In the 13th year of Emperor Wendi (AD 593), Pengshui County was established. The first year of Tang Gaozu Wude (AD 6 18) was located in Guizhou; In the twenty-first year of Xuanzong Kaiyuan (AD 733), Guizhou Middle Road was established, which was one of the fifteen roads in the Tang Dynasty and ruled fifty states. In the first year of Jiading in Song Dynasty (AD 1228), Yushan Town was built because of "white jade flowing from salt springs". In the first year of Jingtai in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1450), it was renamed Yushan Town because of taboo (Dai Zong acceded to the throne); In the 12th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1734), Peng Qianjun Government Hall was established, which governed Youyang, Xiushan, Qianjiang and Pengshui counties. To sum up, the development and utilization of Yushan salt industry has a history of over 5,000 years. From the first year of Jianyuan in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 140) when Emperor Wudi established Fuling County to the 21st year of Xuanzong Kaiyuan (AD 733), Yushan was the seat of county, county, state (equivalent to local and administrative institutions) and Tao (equivalent to provincial and administrative institutions) for nearly a thousand years.
